Yesterday was my Mom's b'day, and I had every intention of getting a new video of Brooklyn singing, "Happy Birthday" to her, but it didn't happen. However, we did call her, and she sang it to her over the phone. In fact, we ate a cupcake in her honor, and it was a reward for Brooklyn being good yesterday afternoon at an appointment. :-) It was also my niece, Cadence's, birthday. I think she turned six years old, which is making me feel old.
Here is what Brooklyn has been up to these days:
1.) Swimming--she loves it, and normally the only thing that will get her out of the pool is a snack. (goldfish, teddy grahams, etc.) We are hoping that she will be able to take some swimming lessons this summer.
2.) Swinging--she still likes her swing. We are working on getting her to do it by herself, and my goal is that by the end of the summer that she will have it! If not, no worries, she will get it eventually.
3.) Jumping--she still enjoys her trampoline. She now wants to jump off the steps, sidewalks and on the couch....which we discourage the jumping on the couch.
4.)Noticing Dirty floors--yes, that's right. The other day she got something on her foot while walking through the kitchen floor. She stopped immediately and told me that I needed to sweep. A few days later, we were visiting some friends at their house. Brooklyn said, "Mommy, the floor is dirty." I told her it was okay...trying to brush it off. Hoping that she wouldn't say it again, but of course, she had to repeat it except this time she said, "Mommy, the floor is nasty." The lady heard her and told me that she just cleaned it. I apologized and told her that she tells me that all the time. Children will definitely say what they think! :-)
Ok, Brooklyn cannot come to visit. My floor is alwasy dirty!! Love the pics.
